Up the Bar Game

It’s time ya’ll! You’ve been home for at least like 1,000,000 1/2 days now and your home bar has likely been through the wringer. Oh really? You haven’t been cocktailing? Well, maybe it’s time? Over here we’ve been mixing up Dark & Stormy’s (tastes like a hang over), gin and tonics (yes please), margaritas on regular rotation and a few French 75’s (using that Christmas gift champagne baby!) For a creative outlet I pulled together this inspiration series! Let’s style your home bar based on the vibe of your go-to cocktail. Cheers!

French 75: Bon Appetite Magazine

I had this for the first time in India on my girl’s trip earlier this year and I’ve been hooked ever since. Made one for my husband and he was a quick convert! Fancy, champagne colored and obviously french is the style here.

Margarita on the Rocks. All day. Every day! This is my go-to cocktail because… well tequila and you can’t really mess it up. I keep it simple and low on sugar. 4 second pour of tequila, splash of lime, splash Grande Marnier and top with lime Waterloo or Topo. This concept is vibrant and fun just how you feel about your personality when you’ve had too much to drink.

Lawn Dart: The Amend Collective

Tracie with The Amend Collective is in Telluride, Colorado just busting out some cool cocktail recipes. The name of this recipe has a real preppy vibe to me so I went for a seersucker and Kentucky Derby vibe.

Moscow Mule: Gimme Some Oven

This is my husband’s go-to if he isn’t having a Basil Hayden or Bud Light. The whole copper cup and ginger beer makes me feel like warm wood and mixed materials. This concept is laid back for sure.

Old Fashioned: NYT Cooking

So the truth talk here is that I’ve never made this one at home and only ordered it when we have drinks with my brother-in-law. Masculine details because whiskey almost demands it and since it always produces warm conversation, this concept has a lot of deep richness.
