Having a dedicated space for distance learning helps keep kids focused on the task at hand, no matter their age. It can look a few different ways depending on the amount of space you have and your budget. Let’s review the basic anatomy of a desk with 5 easy steps.

If you assume you’ll likely need slightly more elbow room for siblings to share the same work space, ideally I would factor 36” per learner! That way, each student has the space for their supplies and their work.

This spring I deployed paper magazine folders to wrangle worksheets and it definitely did the trick. To take that concept further, separating to-do and completed work in different file folders in a storage box or even within a drawer unit would conceal the clutter a little better!
